After breakfast, complete immigration formalities. Begin your drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city, which takes approximately 6 hours. En route, visit Kharbandi Gompa, a serene monastery offering panoramic views of the surrounding valley. On arrival in Thimphu, visit the Changangkha Lhakhang Monastery, an ancient temple revered by locals for blessings and protection.

Kharbandi Gompa is famous for its panoramic views of Phuntsholing town and the West Bengal plains, its tranquil atmosphere, and as a place for meditation and reflection. It is also known for the belief that infertile couples can pray there for a child. The monastery itself is known for its beautiful gardens, statues, and paintings, including those of Guru Rinpoche, Shakyamuni Buddha, and Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.

Changangkha Lhakhang is a 12th-century Buddhist temple in Thimphu, Bhutan, known for its historical significance and traditional architecture. Perched on a ridge above the city, it offers panoramic views and is a living center for local religious life, with a focus on the deity Chenrezig.

Post breakfast, drive to Dochula Pass (3,100 meters), famous for its 108 memorial chortens and spectacular views of the Eastern Himalayas. Continue to Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Explore the historic dzong before returning to Thimphu in the evening.

The Dochu La is a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas within Bhutan on the road from Thimphu to Punakha where 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as "Druk Wangyal Chortens" have been built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother.

Serving as the oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan, Punakha Dzong holds significant cultural and historical importance. Situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, this architectural marvel houses sacred relics and stands as a testament to the country's rich heritage.

Buddha Dordenma is famous for being a gigantic, 51.5-meter-tall statue of a seated Buddha located in Bhutan. It is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, is made of bronze and gilded in gold, and houses 125,000 smaller Buddha statues inside. The statue is also known for the panoramic views of Thimphu Valley it offers from its perch on a mountaintop in the Kuenselphodrang Nature Park.

Tashichho Dzong is a Buddhist monastery and fortress on the northern edge of the city of Thimphu in Bhutan, on the western bank of the Wang Chu. It serves as the seat of the King's office and government ministries, the summer residence for the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot), and a house of worship and study for the monastic body.

The Motithang Takin Preserve in Thimphu is famous for being the home of the takin, which is the national animal of Bhutan. It is a protected preserve that houses these unique, goat-like animals, as well as other wildlife like sambar and barking deer. The preserve is also known for its connection to a popular Bhutanese myth about the origin of the takin.

Overview: Paro is a valley town in Bhutan, west of the capital, Thimphu. It is the site of the country’s only international airport and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area. North of town, the Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. Northwest of here are the remains of a defensive fortress, Drukgyel Dzong, dating from the 17th century.
