<span>Day 01</span>Arrival Pickup from Bagdogra and Transfer to Phuentsholing

Your journey begins as you arrive at Bagdogra Airport. Meet and greet by our representative, followed by a scenic 4-hour drive to Phuentsholing, the gateway town of Bhutan. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Spend the evening exploring the local markets or enjoying leisure time at your hotel

Overview: Phuentsholing is a town on the southern border of Bhutan, known for its modern architecture. It is a valuable trading centre of Bhutan, where Indians, Nepalese and Bhutanese all come together to live and trade harmoniously in this town.

<span>Day 02</span>Complete Immigration Formalities and Drive to Thimphu

After breakfast, complete immigration formalities. Begin your drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city, which takes approximately 6 hours. En route, visit Kharbandi Gompa, a serene monastery offering panoramic views of the surrounding valley. On arrival in Thimphu, visit the Changangkha Lhakhang Monastery, an ancient temple revered by locals for blessings and protection.

<span>Day 02</span>Kharbandi Gompa En route

Kharbandi Gompa is famous for its panoramic views of Phuntsholing town and the West Bengal plains, its tranquil atmosphere, and as a place for meditation and reflection. It is also known for the belief that infertile couples can pray there for a child. The monastery itself is known for its beautiful gardens, statues, and paintings, including those of Guru Rinpoche, Shakyamuni Buddha, and Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.  

<span>Day 02</span>Thimphu - 02 Nights stay

Overview: Thimphu is famous for its rich culture and spectacular scenery, including landmarks like the giant Buddha Dordenma statue and the Tashichho Dzong. It is also known for being the capital of Bhutan, its traffic-free roads, and traditional cultural sites such as the National Memorial Chorten and the Motithang Takin Preserve

<span>Day 02</span>Changangkha Lhakhang Monastery, Thimpu

Changangkha Lhakhang is a 12th-century Buddhist temple in Thimphu, Bhutan, known for its historical significance and traditional architecture. Perched on a ridge above the city, it offers panoramic views and is a living center for local religious life, with a focus on the deity Chenrezig. 

<span>Day 03</span>Excursion to Dochula Pass and Punakha Dzong

Post breakfast, drive to Dochula Pass (3,100 meters), famous for its 108 memorial chortens and spectacular views of the Eastern Himalayas. Continue to Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Explore the historic dzong before returning to Thimphu in the evening.

a) Dochula Pass

The Dochu La is a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas within Bhutan on the road from Thimphu to Punakha where 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as "Druk Wangyal Chortens" have been built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother.

b) Punakha Dzong

Serving as the oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan, Punakha Dzong holds significant cultural and historical importance. Situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, this architectural marvel houses sacred relics and stands as a testament to the country's rich heritage.

<span>Day 04</span>Thimphu Sightseeing

Spend the morning exploring Thimphu's cultural and historical landmarks:
 Buddha Dordenma, a towering golden Buddha statue overlooking the valley
 Tashi Cho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and religious offices
 Takin Zoo, home to Bhutan's national animal, the Takin
 Simply Bhutan, an interactive museum showcasing Bhutanese traditions
Later, embark on a 2-hour drive to Paro. Enjoy the tranquil ambiance of Paro upon arrival.

a) Buddha Dordenma, Thimphu

Buddha Dordenma is famous for being a gigantic, 51.5-meter-tall statue of a seated Buddha located in Bhutan. It is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, is made of bronze and gilded in gold, and houses 125,000 smaller Buddha statues inside. The statue is also known for the panoramic views of Thimphu Valley it offers from its perch on a mountaintop in the Kuenselphodrang Nature Park.

b) Tashi Cho Dzong, Thimphu

Tashichho Dzong is a Buddhist monastery and fortress on the northern edge of the city of Thimphu in Bhutan, on the western bank of the Wang Chu. It serves as the seat of the King's office and government ministries, the summer residence for the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot), and a house of worship and study for the monastic body.

c) Takin Zoo, Thimphu

The Motithang Takin Preserve in Thimphu is famous for being the home of the takin, which is the national animal of Bhutan. It is a protected preserve that houses these unique, goat-like animals, as well as other wildlife like sambar and barking deer. The preserve is also known for its connection to a popular Bhutanese myth about the origin of the takin.

d) Simply Bhutan, Thimphu

Simply Bhutan is an interactive 'living' museum that gives a quick introduction to various aspects of traditional life in Bhutan. Visitors are greeted with a shot of local arra (rice spirit), before being guided through mocked-up village scenes.

<span>Day 04</span>Transfer From Thimphu to Paro

Later, embark on a 2-hour drive to Paro. Enjoy the tranquil ambiance of Paro upon arrival.

Overview: Paro is a valley town in Bhutan, west of the capital, Thimphu. It is the site of the country’s only international airport and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area. North of town, the Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. Northwest of here are the remains of a defensive fortress, Drukgyel Dzong, dating from the 17th century.

a) Rinpung Dzong

Rinpung Dzong, also known as Paro Dzong, is a historic fortress-monastery in Paro, Bhutan, that is a prime example of Bhutanese architecture. It serves as the religious and administrative center for the district and features intricate wood carvings, vibrant murals, and a beautiful setting overlooking the Paro Valley and river. 

b) Kyichu Lhakhang

Kyichu Lhakhang is famous for being one of Bhutan's oldest and holiest temples, built in the 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo to subdue a demon. It is also celebrated for its beautiful ancient architecture, the statue of the all-knowing deity Chenrezig with a thousand arms, and an orange tree in the courtyard that is said to bear fruit year-round. 

 <span>Day 06</span>Transfer From Paro to Siliguri

After the sightseeing, drive back to Siliguri, a journey of approximately 10 hours. Spend your last evening in Bhutan relaxing or exploring the town.

 No web check-in will be provided by us. Guests must check-in at the airport counter.
 No meals are included on board the flight.
 Seats will be allotted by the airline at the time of check-in; specific seat preferences maynot be accommodated.
 Baggage allowance is as per airline policy: 15 kg check-in and 7 kg cabin (1 piece each).
 Any excess baggage charges must be borne directly by the guest.

Yes, Indian Rupees (INR) are widely accepted in Bhutan, particularly for everyday transactions, at a 1:1 exchange rate with the Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN).  you should be aware of restrictions for Indian citizens regarding the total amount of INR cash you can carry, with higher denominations like 500s being accepted up to a certain limit. It's best to have both Indian Rupees and Ngultrum, as some smaller shops and rural areas may not accept foreign currency.
